WOODCOCKBORO
Is situated on the north line of the township, and was organized as a borough in 1845.  It has a population of about 200, and contains one Presbyterian Church, Rev. W. Grassie, pastor, one Methodist Church, Rev. J, L. Mechlin, pastor, one graded school, one hotel, one wagon shop, two blacksmith shops.  The Woodcock Grange, No. 637, a lodge of the Knights of Honor, with an Aid Society and a Mite Society meet here.
